Far North Vets was started in 2012 by owner & vet, Nathan Cutler. Nathan grew up on a dairy farm outside of Kaitaia and still has family there. With his strong ties to the Kaitaia community, developing his own veterinary business here was a natural step when the opportunity arose.
Far North Vets started with Nathan working on his own as a dedicated farm animal vet. In 2013, the practice expanded by moving into the Empire St building and adding a companion animal clinic. When the Lemonwood pet shop became available for sale in 2015, Nathan incorporated that business into Far North Vets to retain a local source of pet supplies for the Kaitaia community.
As the business has grown, so has the need for Nathan to find great people to help Kaitaia's animals and their owners. Today, the Far North Vets team is a bunch of experienced and dedicated vets, nurses, rural technicians and support staff. Come in and see us, we look forward to meeting you!
